2 cups coconut or almond milk
1 teaspoon fresh turmeric (without skin)
1 teaspoon fresh ginger (without skin)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 pinch of cayenne pepper
Small pinch of black pepper
1 slice of lemon, with rind
1 tablespoon local honey (for a reduced sugar drink, try Stevia)
1 tablespoon coconut oil
- Pour all ingredients into a Vitamix or blender and mix until smooth
- Pour into a small saucepan and bring to a light boil, whisking to combine ingredients.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain the milk if you have large pieces of ginger, cinnamon, peppercorns, etc.
