Dually board-certified in Family Medicine (ABFM) and Integrative Holistic Medicine (ABIHM), Jill Carnahan, MD, ABFM, ABIHM, IFMCP was among the first 100+ healthcare practitioners to be certified through The Institute of Functional Medicine. She brings to life the benefits of focusing on root causes and nutritional/biochemical imbalances for her patients, working in collaboration with conventional care teams and using cutting edge lab testing to help practitioners tailor their interventions to their patients’ specific needs. After completing her residency at the University of Illinois Program in Family Medicine at Methodist Medical Center, Dr. Carnahan was voted by faculty to receive the Resident Teacher of the Year award and was elected to Central Illinois 40 Leaders Under 40. A 14-year survivor of breast cancer and Crohn’s disease, Dr. Carnahan is passionate about teaching patients how to “live well” and thrive in the midst of complex and chronic illness. She is a prolific writer, speaker, and podcaster and loves to infuse others with her passion for health and healing.
