FMCA’s partner relationships enable us to align with like-minded organizations that further the Functional Medicine and health coaching movements. By engaging with these partners, we enhance our offering and make the field more accessible through continuing education credit, discounts, and other benefits.
Collaborating Partner: The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM)
The Functional Medicine Coaching Academy is the only health coach training and certification program established in collaboration with The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
IFM is the global leader in Functional Medicine education and offers physicians and other healthcare professionals a systems-based approach to the prevention, diagnosis, and comprehensive management of complex chronic disease.
As collaborating partners, IFM and FMCA share many of the same course materials and faculty members. But where IFM’s students learn to practice Functional Medicine (which is outside the scope of practice for health coaches), FMCA students learn to work with IFM tools in support of practitioners. They learn to “speak the language of Functional Medicine” and then apply mind-body techniques and positive psychology coaching to help clients put the practitioner’s plan into action. Our partnership with IFM ensures that FMCA stays at the forefront of this developing field and that our students learn the best, from the best. Learn more about IFM here.
Featured partners include professional development training programs, advanced technology companies, international training/education and mentoring programs, and specialized business training.
