This month, 300 students started the FMCA course. Not only is the class geographically diverse, it is also varies professionally. While half of the class has a background working in a health, medical or related field, half does not. The next largest segment of students includes people with a business, law, accounting or sales background. They make up 14 percent of the new class.
“A good health coach does not need to come from a background in healthcare,” says FMCA founder and CEO, Sandra Scheinbaum, Ph.D. “Many of our students come from diverse fields such as finance, business, education, or communications. Our new class even includes a U.S. Postal Service employee.”
