Meet the Presenters
Kerry Shultz, FMCHC, NBC-HWC
Senior Admissions Manager
Kerry has battled her own issues with an autoimmune disease and fertility struggles. In trying to help herself, she discovered a passion for Functional Medicine. In 2018, she became a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach from the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, a division of the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).
Kerry earned her RYT-200 and RYT-500 from Glenmore Yoga and Wellness Center in Richmond, VA. Kerry teaches all levels, beginners through advanced, and several styles, including hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga, yin and prenatal.
Kerry received her BS from The Pennsylvania State University
Kerry is passionate, caring and has a heart for helping others feel their best in body, mind and spirit.
Charlene Vairy, FMCHC, NBC-HWC
Senior Manager of Student & Alumni Support
Charlene is honored and privileged to serve as the Senior Manager of Student & Alumni Support at FMCA and is dedicated to ensuring that everyone she interacts with is met with kindness and authenticity.
She has worked in the health and wellness industry for over 25 years and is completely enamored with all things Functional Medicine. After graduating from FMCA’s September 2020 class, she became board-certified with NBHWC and started working for FMCA in June 2022. She has since expanded on her role and plays an integral part in making sure that students, alumni, and FMCA staff are given the utmost care and attention.
Charlene is also a Bach Flower Registered Practitioner (BFRP) through The Bach Centre in Oxford, England and a Certified Gluten-Free Practitioner (CGP) through Dr. Tom O’Bryan. She is also the Inspired Entrepreneur behind the now closed, yet beloved Your Big Picture Café, which operated in Davie, FL from 2009 through 2016.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, visiting her young adult kids who have flown the nest, catching up with friends, learning new things, gardening, and creating a peaceful environment in her home.
Kelly Amos, MS, FMCHC, NBC-HWC, AANWP-CFNC
FMCA Alumnus
Kelly Amos is a Board-Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach and Functional Nutrition Counselor with over 20 years of experience guiding individuals toward better health through lifestyle change. Before specializing in functional medicine, she led fitness facilities across four states, bringing energy, organization, and heart to everything she does. Kelly is also a Certified Behavior Change Specialist and is an adjunct professor at North Idaho College, where she teaches nutrition. Through her private wellness club, she helps people feel seen, heard, and empowered — meeting them where they are and helping them move forward in ways that work for their lives.
