Meet the Presenters

Kerry Shultz, FMCHC, NBC-HWC
Senior Admissions Manager

Kerry has battled her own issues with an autoimmune disease and fertility struggles.  In trying to help herself, she discovered a passion for Functional Medicine.  In 2018, she became a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach from the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, a division of the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM).

Kerry earned her RYT-200 and RYT-500 from Glenmore Yoga and Wellness Center in Richmond, VA. Kerry teaches all levels, beginners through advanced, and several styles, including hatha, vinyasa, ashtanga, yin and prenatal. 

Kerry received her BS from The Pennsylvania State University

Kerry is passionate, caring and has a heart for helping others feel their best in body, mind and spirit.

Kristi Criswell, MAOL, NBC-HWC, FMCHC
Director of Student Services

Kristi has worked for FMCA since 2018 after graduating from the program and then becoming board-certified by NBHWC, first as a Course Facilitator and now as Director of Student Services. She worked as a Health Coach for a Functional Medicine practitioner for six years after earning her Master of Arts degree in Organizational Leadership. Prior to being a health coach, Kristi worked in the nonprofit industry. She continues to satisfy her love of this work by serving as a volunteer board member for a community social services organization. Kristi lives in Vancouver, WA, and enjoys spending her time camping, reading, and crafting. She is married, has three young adult children, and one very spoiled dog.

Monique Class, APRN-BC, IFMCP, NBC-HWC, AHNCC
Director of Coaching Development & Lead Faculty

Monique Class, APRN-BC, IFMCP, NBC-HWC, AHNCC, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, international lecturer, and Co-Founder of The Center for Functional Medicine and The Institute for Functional Nursing. She is a leading expert in integrative functional gynecology and functional medicine, combining advanced clinical knowledge with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.

Renowned for her expertise in women’s health, mind-body medicine, and coaching, Monique lectures nationally and internationally, inspiring healthcare professionals and patients alike. She holds advanced certifications from The Institute for Functional Medicine, The Center for Mind-Body Medicine, and The Psychosynthesis Institute, as well as dual board certifications in coaching from AHNCC and NBC-HWC.

In addition to her clinical work, Monique plays a pivotal role in shaping the field of integrative medicine through her leadership and teaching:

  • Co-Author of numerous research papers and publications on integrative and functional medicine.
  • Senior Faculty Member at The Center for Mind-Body Medicine and The Institute for Functional Medicine.
  • Director of Coaching Development at the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy.
  • Clinical Instructor at the Yale Graduate School of Nursing.
