About Courtney Contos, FMCHC, NBC-HWC
Courtney Contos, FMCHC, NBC-HWC, is a chef educator, National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach, Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach, Certified GAPS Coach, and speaker. Raised in Chicago under the mentorship of her acclaimed restaurateur father, Bill Contos, Courtney earned her culinary degree from Kendall College and went on to open Chef Contos Kitchen & Store in Vermont, named one of the best cooking schools in the world by Food & Wine Magazine.
For over 25 years, Courtney has taught scratch cooking classes, inspiring lasting culinary enthusiasm in home kitchens. Her unique blend of culinary expertise and health advocacy positions her as a trailblazer in promoting holistic well-being. After overcoming rheumatoid arthritis and years of chronic pain through Functional Medicine, she merged her culinary skills with her passion for health to guide others on transformative wellness journeys, working with leaders like Dr. Anna Cabeca and Zach Bush.
When not empowering clients, Courtney enjoys backgammon, nature walks, 1940s films, and her dogs. Her next cooking school is set to open in Yucatán in 2026.
