About Dave Korsunsky

David is the founder and CEO of Heads Up, a digital health analytics platform designed for personal health optimization and remote health monitoring. His 20+ year background includes leadership roles with industry-leading technology firms in Canada, Bermuda and the United States.

Prior to founding Heads Up, David spent seven years working in Palo Alto, CA for VMware (NYSE:VMW). As Director of Technical Alliances, he led a 20-person team responsible for driving virtualization and cloud computing adoption into the largest software companies globally including IBM, SAP, Oracle and more. Mr. Korsunsky also led the technical initiative to drive VMware technology into the healthcare industry through strategic partnerships and technical integrations with EPIC, Cerner, McKesson and other industry-leading electronic health records (EHR) companies. In 2013 David was recognized as one of the top 20 leaders across the entire 13,000-person organization.

Following a successful seven years at VMware, David assumed a Director-level sales leadership role at CloudPhysics, a Santa Clara CA-based data analytics company backed by Kleiner Perkins, Mayfield and Icon Ventures. CloudPhysics is a SaaS-based analytics platform collecting and analyzing over 80 billion data points per day from datacenters across the globe. During his time at CloudPhysics, David helped close some of the largest sales and licensing deals in the company’s history.

David holds a Bsc. in mathematics from the University of Winnipeg, a Master’s in Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and an Executive Masters degree in the emerging field of neuroleadership. He currently resides in Scottsdale, Arizona and when not immersed in building Heads Up he enjoys playing tennis, lifting weights, Bikram yoga and spending time with family and friends.
