About Liz Lipski, Ph.D., CNS, BCHN, IFMCP, LDN
Liz Lipski, PhD, CNS, IFMCP, is known for her pioneering and open-hearted work as a clinician, educator, author, advocate, and researcher in nutrition and digestive health. She developed and implemented the first two doctoral programs in integrative and functional nutrition in the USA. She is a 2023 recipient of the Rosalind Franklin Award for Women in Science and Medicine. Over the last several decades, she has played a leadership role in evolving and promoting the field of personalized nutrition. Her mission is to put nutrition and lifestyle at the core of health care.
Dr. Lipski holds a PhD in Clinical Nutrition from the Union Institute, is a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition (FACN), and holds two board certifications in clinical nutrition (CNS and BCHN). She is also certified in functional medicine (IFMCP). She retired as a Director and Professor of Nutrition at Maryland University of Integrative Health. She is an educator for The Institute for Functional Medicine and for the Metabolic Medicine Institute Fellowship program in integrative medicine. She currently acts as a special advisor for the Accreditation Council for Nutrition Professional Education, and the advisory boards for the Nutrition and Health and Wellness team at Purdue Global University, the Autism Hope Alliance, and Algaecal.
Dr. Lipski has been an author or co-author in peer-reviewed papers, textbook chapters, and the author of Digestive Wellness, Digestive Wellness for Children, and Leaky Gut Syndrome.
