A board-certified Family Practice physician, Shilpa Saxena, MD graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed her Family Practice residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. She served as Chief Resident there and received an additional Certification in Low-risk Obstetrics. She is a Fellow of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, University of Arizona and serves as Clinical Faculty for The Institute for Functional Medicine. Dr. Saxena opened the SevaMed Institute early in her medical career, where she practices integrative and functional family medicine. She applies the core principle of ”Patients Powered by Knowledge,” achieving tremendous success by finding, treating, and reversing the root cause of illness. Her Center for Living Wellness offers advanced clinical lectures, healthy cooking classes, a community-based organic co-op, and fitness and yoga classes—all designed to help her patients to develop and expand their knowledge and implementation of healthy living.
