About Sonja Lyubomirsky
Sonja Lyubomirsky has devoted her research career to studying human happiness. Upon graduating summa cum laude from Harvard and completing her PhD in social psychology at Stanford, Lyubomirsky is Professor of Psychology at the University of California, Riverside.
She is also the author of The How of Happiness and The Myths of Happiness, translated in 23 and 16 countries, respectively. Lyubomirsky’s teaching has been recognized with the Faculty of the Year two times, and Faculty Mentor of the Year Awards. Her research – on the possibility of lastingly increasing happiness — has received many honors, including the Templeton Positive Psychology Prize and a Science of Generosity grant.
