Application Process
- Complete the application.
- Applications will be anonymized and then reviewed.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified directly starting the week of April 20th.
Who should apply
We recognize the power of functional medicine health coaching in transforming lives, especially in culturally, racially, or economically diverse, as well as rural populations. We are committed to supporting individuals who share our vision of utilizing this approach to create positive impacts on community health.
Applications are open to:
- Eligible: Any applicant who has never been enrolled in the FMCA health coach certification program.
- Not Eligible: Those who have been previously or currently enrolled, including those who have deferred or withdrawn.
What the award includes:
- Covers the cost of tuition for enrollment into the September 2026 class of the FMCA Health Coach Certification Program only.
What the award does NOT include:
- Any additional program costs – course books (around $100 total), technical requirements, etc
- FMCA Alumni Program membership
Selection Criteria
Our selection criteria emphasize your passion for serving diverse populations and your dedication to using functional medicine health coaching to make a direct difference in your community’s health. We welcome applicants with various educational backgrounds and linguistic abilities, prioritizing the depth of your vision and commitment over grammatical perfection or writing style.
In the interest of maintaining the authenticity of your submission, we encourage applicants to avoid heavy reliance on AI-generated content and will be using AI-detectors when evaluating applications. We are looking for genuine, heartfelt responses that reflect your personal experiences and motivations!
Terms & Conditions
Scholarship awards can only be applied to tuition for the September 2026 class. Awards are non-transferable and non-deferrable.
Only applications by individuals who have never been enrolled in FMCA’s Health Coach Certification Program will be considered.
