We’re proud to celebrate the graduates of FMCA’s March 2025 class, a talented, mission-driven group of newly certified coaches ready to bring compassionate, whole-person support into the world.
Graduation is more than a milestone. It is a moment that reflects the hours of learning, practice, and inner work that brought each of you here and the meaningful impact you are prepared to create next.
As FMCA CEO Dr. Sandra Scheinbaum shared during the ceremony,
“You have worked really hard for this certification. And you are ready to make a difference.”

Powerful Quotes from Graduation Speakers
A Lifelong Community
Our graduates come from diverse professional backgrounds and life experiences, but they share a common purpose: a calling to serve.
Dr. Sandi reminded the class:
“You came to FMCA because you had a calling, a calling to serve people, to help people create better health… FMCA is not just a program where you get a certificate. It is a lifelong community.”
Dr. Sandra Scheinbaum
Why Coaches Are Needed More Than Ever
Keynote speaker and FMCA Educator Dr. Pedram Shojai spoke directly to the unique moment we are living in and why human-centered coaching is essential.
“People need you now more than ever. They do not have people in their lives that can actually listen to them and hear them… They need you more than ever to be the center of the storm, the eye of the hurricane.”
Dr. Pedram Shojai
The Power of Presence
Graduate speaker Anna Wolyn reflected on the deeper transformation that coaching makes possible. She also reminded graduates of the healing power they already carry:
“Most people don’t change because they receive more information. They change because they feel seen. They change because they feel safe… Your presence alone, your ability to listen, to hold space, to stay regulated, is already medicine.”
Anna Wolyn, FMCHC
The Bridge Between Recommendation and Real Life
Graduate speaker Brittany Stewart spoke about the journey from learning theory to embodying coaching. And in a line that beautifully captures the role of a functional medicine health coach:
“We didn’t just learn a curriculum. We witnessed the transformative power of coaching in action with others and within ourselves… We are the bridge between a clinical recommendation and the beautiful, messy reality of a life well-lived.”
Brittany Stewart, FMCHC
A Single Conversation Can Change Everything
Scholarship recipient and graduate speaker Melanie Mambo delivered a moving reflection on humanity, grief, and the sacred nature of coaching work. She reminded us that impact does not begin with scale, and closed with a powerful affirmation to her fellow graduates:
“Functional medicine health coaching is much deeper than approaches, and plans, and routines. It’s about humanity. Transformation rarely begins at scale. It begins in a single conversation… You’re not just a coach. You’re a catalyst. You’re a witness to change. You’re a steward of hope, and you’re not alone.”

Congratulations, March 2025 Graduates
To each member of the March 2025 cohort, congratulations on earning your certification and stepping forward into this important work.
As Dr. Sandi said in closing:
“The world needs your voice, your compassion, your light. So, go out and shine.”
